People,
There are no venues for D/s and BDSM talk. Talk is a one-on-one medium. It is very immediate and very intimate, however, and offers several advantages over IRC.
Talk refers to any program that understands the Unix talk protocol. With such a program, you can communicate, by typing, with any other user who has a talk program. Generally, your (and their) screen will be split in two, into an upper and lower half, and everything you type will appear in one half while everything the other party types will appear in the other half.
And your and their typings--and backspacings--appear immediately. Unlike IRC, talk is a character-at-a-time medium, rather than a line-at-a-time medium. It is very immediate, and it is very intimate. Unlike IRC, there are no servers to connect to and communicate through. Lag is limited to the lag of the Internet between you and the other party.
